this book and accompanied cd offer a way to get emotional control over your eating habits and reach what they call "your perfect weight". I have been using it for about a month and the more I use it, the less I eat (portion size) and the less cravings I have. I am convinced it works, plus it is super relaxing.
He does what my voice teachers told me not to do when speaking or singing. Instead of sounding soothing, his voice kept going up and down in its stresses in an annoying way.
I knew, however, that I might want or need some variety in the message, so I checked this out from the library. It's not a bad book.
I recently started listening to the Paul McKenna CD for weight loss and was very pleased with the effect. Gurgevich's delivery of the hypnosis sessions.
It has a lot of the same info as many books I've read on emotional eating or New Age thinking, but what I really got it for was the CD. Unfortunately for me, I do not like Dr.
I thought his wife sounded better. I recommend you see if your library has it so you can check it out.
Another bonus is my vocabulary has expanded (thanks to the hypnosis), all the words I read are now making it out of my mouth.I have found myself with a definite interest in reading and exploring the world of health and fitness. I'm always a little weary of buying "diet" books of any sort but I knew I had to kick my butt in my gear and luckily this was the kickstart I needed. Hands down, I am glad I spent the money on this book. As far as actual weight loss goes I've lost 40lbs, (from my pre-pregnancy weight, 70lbs total if you count the baby weight too) so far. While I still struggle with my relationship with food, its an on-going battle that I'm beginning to see myself winning. Not only has the hypnosis helped me stay motivated to eat healthier and exercise but it has helped me achieve a more positive image of myself. Its been 10 months since the baby was born and I have 25 more lbs to go to be bikini ready. Though I'm avoiding the scale as much as possible because I know muscle weighs more than fat and my dress size seems to shrink faster than the lbs on the scale.bottom line: buy,borrow, or check out this book at the very least it might spark your interest in other health-minded things
After years of dieting, deprivation, and disappointment, I had run out of both willpower and motivation. This is one of the best things that ever happened to yours truly. I really like effortless.
Guess what folks. And of course, weight loss, and good eating habits. When I bought this book/cd, I figured I had reached my "final frontier"; if this method didn't work, I was going to throw in the towel and give up.
The side effects: happiness and better sleep. It works. And it's subtle and gentle and effortless.
Try it. I hope it will be true for you too.
I have noticed that I make better food choices and I dont get down on myself any more. I got this book with cd a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I listen to the cd at night before turning in and in the morning before I get up. To tell the truth, I wouldn't be without it. I haven't weighed or measured myself as of yet, and may not do so, but give it time to be a lifestyle change.
